Kendall County A&M Mothers’ Club Annual Scholarship Requirements 

 

PURPOSE: 

 

The Kendall County A&M University Mothers’ Club Scholarship Program seeks to recognize and reward Texas A&M University students who: 

  1. are proficient in academics
  2. are involved in purposeful activities outside the classroom with an emphasis on student organizations, leadership, and  service
  3. demonstrate A&M’s core values of excellence, integrity, leadership, loyalty, respect, and selfless service

ELIGIBILITY: 

  1. Applicant must be a resident of Kendall County with a permanent mailing address within Boerne (78006), Boerne or Fair Oaks Ranch (78015), Comfort (78013), Sisterdale (78006), Welfare (78006), Waring (78074), Bergheim (78004) or Kendalia (78027)
  2. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen as defined by the U. S. Department of Education criteria for receiving federal financial assistance
  3. Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 2.0
  4. Applicant must have completed 30 hours at Texas A&M University (does not include transfer hours or AP credit)
  5. Applicant must be a current, full-time undergraduate student at Texas A&M University College Station, Galveston, McAllen, or co-enrolled program with a minimum of 12 credit hours at the time of application and classified as a sophomore, junior, or senior student in good standing. Incoming freshmen, fifth-year seniors in 4-year undergraduate degree programs, and graduate students are NOT eligible for a scholarship. Students in 5-year undergraduate degree programs are eligible in the fifth year. 
  6. A waiver of the 12-hour minimum will be considered for students with a documented disability or graduating seniors
  7. Incoming freshmen students are not eligible to receive a scholarship 
  8. Applicant may not have previously been awarded a Kendall County A&M Mothers’ Club Annual Scholarship 

SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS:

  1. The scholarship award is a fixed amount determined by the Board of Directors and the Scholarship Committee and will be applied to regular tuition and fees. 
  2. The scholarship duration is for the current academic year. 
  3. Scholarship recipients will be notified by email at the email address provided by the student on the application. 
  4. Scholarship awards will be presented at a Kendall County Aggie Moms’ Club meeting.  

APPLICATION PROCEDURE: 

 

Please ensure all documents are electronically submitted from the student TAMU email address by the 11:59 p.m. on the prescribed deadline. 

  1. Complete the Kendall County Aggie application form in full

  2. One official eTranscript from Texas A&M University Office of Admissions and Records includes the Fall Semester. The official PDF eTranscript must be emailed directly from the Registrar's TAMU Office email address to KCAMCscholarships@aggiemoms.org

  3. Transcripts from a student or parent's email address will not be accepted

  4. One official eTranscript from the applicable co-enrolled campus, if applicable. If the applicant would like confirmation of receipt, please contact the Scholarship Committee at KCAMCscholarships@aggiemoms.org

  5. Essay must be emailed to KCAMCscholarships@aggiemoms.org

 

Scholarship application form, essay, and transcript must be received by 11:59 p.m
